Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers.

Training your dog is a big step, and you probably have questions about how we work and what to expect. Here are the most common ones — if you don’t see your question, just reach out!

  • We utilize a variety of effective training methods that set clear boundaries with your dog while avoiding fear and force. This teaches them to think, problem-solve, and make good choices — not just follow commands. You’ll also learn how to understand your dog and adapt your approach as their needs (and your lifestyle) change, so you can guide them confidently through every stage of life.

  • We have experience helping dogs with a wide range of challenges—from reactivity and anxiety to common unwanted behaviors. We tailor each session to your dog’s unique needs and work at a pace that keeps both your dog and you comfortable. We also guide and support you through any training-related anxieties, helping you feel confident and empowered every step of the way toward lasting progress.

  • Our initial consultation typically lasts 60 to 90 minutes, allowing us to thoroughly understand your goals and your dog’s needs. Each training session runs up to 90 minutes, giving us ample time to practice skills, address challenges, and ensure you both leave feeling confident and ready to succeed.

  • Yes! We offer in-home and on-location training anywhere in the Salt Lake Valley. Sessions can happen in your home, your neighborhood, or any environment that best supports your goals — whether that’s the park for leash work, a busy street for reactivity training, or a quiet spot for focus-building.

  • Every dog and situation is unique, but most clients notice changes right away. The key to lasting results is consistency — the more you practice between sessions, the faster you’ll see progress.

  • Absolutely! Teaching kids how to interact safely with dogs is an important part of building strong, positive relationships within families.
